Privacy notice
Last updated 17 October 2026
This game collects as little as it can. There are no ads, nothing is sold, and no one is tracked across other websites.
What we keep
- Your username and password. The password is stored scrambled (hashed), so no one can read it, including us.
- Your game progress: merit points, rank, medals, and how many times you played and won each mission.
- A recovery email, only if you choose to add one. It is used for one thing: sending you a link to reset your password when you ask for it. It is stored privately, is never shown to other players, and is never used for news or marketing. You can change or remove it in Service record.
- When your account was created and last updated, and when you were last online.
We don't ask for your name, phone number or location, and you shouldn't put any of them (or your email) in your username.
Friends and squad play
If you add friends, we keep the list of who you are friends with and any squad invites you send or receive (invites are only shown for 10 minutes). While you have the game open, we note the time you were last active so your friends can see whether you're online.
In a squad, your game connects directly to your teammates' games so the action stays fast. As with any direct online connection, this lets their device see your internet (IP) address. Only play in a squad with people you trust.
Who can see it
Your username, rank, merit, medals and when you were last online can be seen by other players (for example in friends lists and in squads). Your password and recovery email can't.
Visit counts and crash reports
We count page visits using Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. If the game crashes, it sends a short technical report: the error message, your browser and device type, and the graphics setting. These reports don't include your username or password and are used only to fix bugs.
Where it is stored
The game is hosted by Vercel and accounts are stored with Supabase. Password reset emails are sent through Hostinger's mail service. Their servers may be outside Nigeria. Both protect the data with encryption.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. You can delete your account and everything linked to it yourself, at any time: sign in, open Service record, and choose Delete my account. For anything else, email support@playcounterinsurgent.com.
Age
The game contains combat violence and is meant for players aged 16 and over.
